Failure is a harsh word, so it’s gone! Self-Moderation

The option for failure has been removed. As such all attempts to add a chapter will be approved, but can be embellished upon by the next author so long as they do not change the intent of the attempt.

With failure out the window, I will no longer be moderating the stories except to offer new words/cards. I will be happy to step in and do whatever necessary provided my help is requested.

As always, the rules/faq are available to keep things moving but are not required to be followed.

NEW STORY!

A new 3 person story has begun! Keep up with it on google drive!

Players:

Guys this story is super fun. In the wake of 10th Kingdom our main Character has become a descendant of Snow White. We’ve gotten a prophecy, the text of which has been hidden from the MC, and possibly stolen by an evil queen!

The next participant has gone to bed so I have to wait until tomorrow for more.

NEW STORY!

A new 3 person story has begun! Keep up with it on google drive!

Players:

LoF with Nick, Chapter 9 (FAILURE) [Nick]

Here is a failed turn example.  Please, don’t let this discourage you, it did not discourage the author, and all parties got a kick out of it.

NOTES: This chapter attempt did not work for a few reasons. Partially because since we are so far into the story, I’ve made it a little harder, adhering to the rules more.
  • The Good Card was only mentioned in passing, and not actually used in the chapter.
  • The Evil Card was not used for Evil Purpose.
  • And as a personal issue, he didn’t know what a Scythe was.
Cards Used:
  • Good: crystal ball
  • Bad: wolf
  • Neutral: ice insects muffin lipstick
Chapter 9:

As Emmit and Geoffry entered the room, they saw Itchi and the Scythe sitting on their thrones. Emmit walked in the room and declared “I shall tame thi beast.” And boy did it piss him off.

The Scythe got up and started running at them. But Geoffry was clever, and with a deep breath flames went throwing into his face. He whimpered for a moment, but quickly got up and with the wave of his hand, the fire was gone!

”He’s too much for me.” exclaimed Geoffry. “Not if I can stop it.” said Emmit. With the blink of an eye a sword appeared in Emmits hand. But the Scythe did not hesitate.

He quickly ripped off a piece of his cloak and it too turned into a sword. The had a fearsome battle but Emmit soon realized he would not Win this battle.

But suddenly it occurred to him that he had one thing that could stop him. He reached under his armor and he pulled out a crystal ball, a comb, and finally, lipstick. He kept the lipstick but put the rest of the things back into the purse.

He snapped his fingers and he was wearing a blue sparkling dress. He applied the lipstick and started singing she wolf. The Scythe was confused at first but he began to charge.

Emmit took the lipstick and clicked a button on the side, and it turned into a very powerful sword. As his and the Scythe’s swords met he sung “There’s a she wolf in the closet, let it out so it can breath, there’s a she wolf in the closet, let it out do it can breath. Eh uh eh uh.”

At last the evil Scythe disintegrated and Itchi was broke free from the spell.

Player 1

octopusouphut answered your question: First Group Forming!

I wouldn’t mind trying this :)

Looking for other players for Play Group A.

Remember there is no pressure, this is just for fun!

What are you waiting for, come have some!

Good Vs. Evil Edition

I’ve had ideas for other possible play methods.

This one needs to be tested.

It needs an even number of players or a single player, and turns could not be skipped. We could have one game going, with extra players on a waiting list to fill in in need be.

Odd Players would be Good OR Evil, while Even Players would be the opposite.

Providing a more obvious tug of war between chapters.  Something good would happen, then something bad would happen.

A hand of cards would have to be smaller. Say 3 Aligned cards, and 4 or 5 Neutral cards.

Thoughts, concerns or ideas regarding this possible play method.

Stopping Point.

As I think of more elements to add, I will probably do so, but here is the finished background for LandOFantasy

LoF in Action

Here’s an example of a multi-author LoF story.

I’m playing irl with my 12 yr old cousin.
